WHEN Can I Start My Career?
To complete a cosmetology program, you’ll need to take 1,500 hours of curriculum. In a full-time program, most students graduate between 13 and 16 months. Which—honestly—is not that much time when you’re talking about the rest of your life! After completing your course, you’ll be prepared to sit for your Louisiana Cosmetology License. That’s a state certification required before you can start working. But don’t worry—you’ll have lessons and courses specifically to help you prepare.
WHERE Will I Learn?
As far as we’re located, Avery James School of Cosmetology is in Lake Charles. It’s on Ryan Street right off the 210 loop. But, let’s get specific about the actual environment you’re going to be learning in.
When you first start your classes, you’ll be learning in a traditional classroom setting. Then, you’ll get time in an actual salon with real clients. Your experienced instructors (who we talked about earlier) will be there to oversee your work and answer questions. It’s the perfect blend of book-learning and practical application to get you ready and confident to start your career!
