Cosmetology Careers

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), cosmetology careers are growing faster than the average of other jobs. That means, compared to other jobs, it might be easier to find a place to work after cosmetology school. They also report that those skilled in this field have a variety of workplace options. Cosmetologists most often work in hair salons, they can also find work in spas, hotels, or resorts. Another option could be leasing a booth space from a salon owner. After some experience, you could manage your own salon or shop. Schedule-wise, it’s common for cosmetologists to work evenings and weekends, so weekday schedules might be more flexible.

What Cosmetologists Do

Looking at the course catalog, you’ll see that Avery James’ program focuses on hair.
