ACCREDITED COSMETOLOGY COURSE
Our cosmetology course is designed for students who are pursuing a 1500-hour curriculum to obtain an operator’s license through satisfying all requirements of the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology.
Courses cover basic knowledge and techniques used in the development of skills in hairstyling, hair shaping, permanent waving, hair relaxing, hair coloring, facial makeup, and thermal heat processing. Students obtain basic understanding in science, business management, and state law as it relates to cosmetology. Classroom lectures, demonstrations, manikin practice, visual and audio aids, as well as supervised salon experiences are included.
Along with basic skills and knowledge of cosmetology, students will have an opportunity to become proficient in the responsibilities that operators must assume in the profession, as well as the various working conditions and environments encountered on the job. Modern equipment and facilities provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning.
